Podcast Cover

This was a commissioned piece I created for a podcast on Spotify called Ben and Billy's Spacewalk. Their podcast combines their real life experiences with humor that takes the listener with them on a spacewalk.

For this podcast cover it was important that I find a way to capture their warm personalities and calm essence exuded in their talks. To do this I decided on a playful astronaut head image that features an antennae as a nod to the radio element of their brand. I then used a happy yellow for the illustration and type, which I contrasted with a medium blue background for a slight retro feel.

It was also important to me that their design could be legible in small spaces as most listeners use Spotify on their mobile devices. This is why I went for a single line style artwork and accompanied it with a sans serif font that had a complimenting line weight.
